Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus shuts down after 146 years, bogusly blames lack of elephants

Nine months ago, Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus announced that it would stop using elephants in its shows. Now, the company says that it’s shutting down completely, and the company’s CEO blames the lack of elephants.

Which is a bunch of vegan baloney.

When a 146-year-old business closes up shop, you can bet your bottom dollar that the company’s troubles have been growing for far, far longer than nine months. Simply put, Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus failed to adapt to consumers’ changing tastes, and now consumers are leaving it behind.
